KCC HIGH STREET, STATION ROAD AND DENNES LANE, LYDD TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 – Section 14 (2) Kent County Council gives notice that B2075 High Street, B2075 Station Road and Dennes Lane, Lydd has been closed to through traffic, on or after 27th July 2026 for up to 5 days. The road is closed between the junctions with Harden Road and Park Street (access maintained for residents). Highway Maintenance in Your Area High Street, Lydd Carriageway resurfacing What we plan to do and why As part of the ongoing maintenance works to maintain and improve the highway network in Kent, we will be carrying out carriageway resurfacing on High Street, Lydd; Station Road, Lydd; on section of road between Lydd Fire Station and the junction with Church Road (postcode TN29 9AJ, ///grub.cross.oblige). Furthermore, we will be carrying out carriageway resurfacing at the junction mouth with New Lane, Lydd, and on Dennes Lane, Lydd. Openreach - Temporary Road Closure - Caldecott Lane, Lydd - 8th September 2026 (Folkestone and Hythe District) Due to works planned to be undertaken by Openreach, it will be necessary to close part of Caldecott Lane, Lydd, from 8th September 2026 with estimated completion by 9th September 2026. Caldecott Lane, Lydd, will be closed next to Caldecott Crossing, between the hours of 08:00 and 17:00 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site. Temporary Road Closures & 20MPH Speed Limit– Folkestone & Hythe– from 5th January 2026 for up to 18 months Because of a program of carriageway patching and preservation works, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on Various Roads, Folkestone & Hythe, as per the schedule below. This Order takes effect on or after 5th January 2026 for a period of up to 18 months or until the works have been completed. Planned dates will be published in advance of the works and indicated by signage displayed on site 14 days before they start.
